I was suddenly struck with the urge, after my long long long absence from LJ, to read mcshep. So I, of course, turned to Sheafrotherdon. I eventually got to "The Half-Life of Carbon", which was just so lovely that I picked up an erasable pen and scetched out my favorite scene.

Happy mother's Day to my mommy and sister and to all you other mothers out there. I'm humbled by you.
I went to see Ironman and Speed Racer yesterday and I have to say that both movies were made of Awesome. Ironman was just everything I hoped it would be and Tony Stark is such a freaking Rock Star. Robert Downey Jr. did a fantastic job and Gwenth Paltrow was brilliant as Pepper. Love love love. Speed Racer was a great family film and it was a real blast to watch. Matthew Fox has never been hotter than he is in Racer X's black leather pants and Emile Hirsch and Chiristina Ricci... don't even get me started. Also Rain as Taejo was almost too hot to handle with his red streaked hair*fans self*. The casting was just perfect in both films... even sticking around after the credits(always always do this for a Marvel film) of Ironman I was pleasantly surprised to see Sam L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Anyway yesterday was my complete Geekgasm day and I highly recommend both films... though I was a fan of the original Speed Racer so that might have helped with my enjoyment.
This year has been now nick-named the year of the geek in my book due to the sheer amount of comic book and cult movies coming out. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE DARK KNIGHT!!!! After seeing the preview for it and *hearing* Heath Ledger(oh god why's he gone *sobs*)'s Joker voice had my inner Harley Quinn panting.
Okay... I'm done geeking... I could really use a geek icon *contemplates*. On Another note my DC:SGA fic with John as Supes and Rodney as Bats is coming along. It's working title is 'World's Finest' because it's goign to be based on the story arc of the Superman TAS series of the same name(better known as The Batman/Superman Movie). So if anyone sees _kiden , I'm working on it, I promise.

These were completely inspired by _kiden 's Justice League of Atlantis drawing on paintedspires I intend to turn this into fic... because I am that much of a geek. ^_^ I hope you enjoy.

Mcshep Crack! In which Rodney is an Elven swordsmith (the best of course) named Mer'dyth and John is a Faerie named Shep.... its actually sort of an intergration with a story I had long ago.
Random info: Shep's wings are Hazel because that's the color of his eyes.

dream a little dream of MacGyver

My mom and I totally geeked out watching the Mythbusters 100th episode because the theme was MacGyver! It was so awesome.
On another note I keep having this SGA dream. I don't know how or why but somehow Rodney gets separated from the Team and he ends up on some planet with a bunch a space-fairing natives (but not the Travelers). In the meantime John is injured/poisoned/drugged in a crashed 'jumper, alone. Rodney ends up commandeering a ship after he tricks someone cleverly during a banquet and he tries to find John, then I get a flash of john lying on the jumper ramp hurt somehow... and then... I wake up... I had this dream (it varies a little) about three times now... is my subconscious telling me to commit fic? Also... where the heck are Teyla and Ronon?

Edit- Also I finally have the ring of my dreams. I've litlerally been looking for a ring like this for years. Then I found it on etsy.com by the very, very talented CrazyDaisyDeisgns.

Random little thing here. Watching Quarantine, while I am so so glad that my(john's!) lovely Rodney didn't get engaged, I freaking loved the ring he chose. Totally would have won *me* over with that pick. I was just gorgeous... now if only I had a screen cap of it...
Also, yay I made a Carson icon from a kindred promo pic. I miss him so so much. He was always my favorite despite my major mcshep love.

eta: I almost forgot. Happy Birthday RDA, you're looking mighty fine for fifty-eight.

"Ack! You stupid piece of junk! After all these years of loyal repair work and you decide to break down in the middle of a WAR!" Rhodni (Rhodninadvarthremunder actually but he went by Rhodni, since Rhodninadvarthremunder was widely considered a girl's name among Gallifreyians) screams at his console, kicking it harshly, only to injure his foot and hop up and down. The console promptly makes a whining noise and begins to smoke. "Shit," he mutters and stumbles out of his TARDIS and onto the street. He coughs the smoke out of his lungs, "Where am I?" he asks the air taking in his surroundings.

"California... and whatever you just did to that phone booth has got to be illegal..."

Rhodni turns sharply toward the lazy drawl and finds a human. A tall, male, not to hard on the eyes, kinda made his hearts beat faster despite his gravity defying hair, human. "Um..." he comments smartly, scrambling to his feet. He stares for a minute before glancing back at his TARDIS- er phone booth, which was indeed smoking. "At least the chameleon circuit's working..." he mumbles under his breath and turns back to the man. He claps his hand together. "Hi," He says and presses his lips together trying to think of a way to talk out of this.

The man blinks at him. "Hello..." He says slowly, "I'm kinda drunk and not entirely sure you're real." He smiles.

Rhodni stares again, "Ah well... that's... convenient..." He returns, shifting uncomfortably from foot to foot.

"M'John... John Sheppard." The man slurs a bit and offers his hand, when the silence becomes uncomfortable. Rhodni blinks at his hand a few times.

"Oh," he exclaims and grabs it, shaking, "Rhodni, my name is Rhodni."

"S'nice to meet you, Rodney." John smiles again, "Why'd you kill the phone booth?"

"Not Rodney, Rhodni... and I didn't kill the phone booth. Even if I did kill it it's My phone booth so it's none of your business. And what are you doing out here in the middle of the night? Wandering around and bothering strangers in their TAR- phone booths, now unless you can help me fix--"

He's cut off by a warm wet mouth pressed against his own... a mouth that tasted very much like alcohol. John laughs against his lips, petting Rhodni's hair.

"You taste good, Rodney." He says, drawing out his name as through striving to pronounce it correctly this time

Written because I haven't found a single fic where Rodney's a time lord, not finished at all but you know... what can you do... not that anyone'll ever read this but me.

Amusing... thingy in The Road Not Taken verse, because I need something to entertain myself... since my sister doesn't like mcshep and my best friend no longer wishes to continue our RP with them...

Sam tries to keep typing... she really does, but something keeps bothering her... She stops, looking back at Mckay.
    "Rodney?" She asks and he looks up at her over some paperwork he was finishing.
    "Hmm?" He queries looking a bit annoyed.
    "What were the grounds for your divorce... with me?" It had been bothering her since she'd met this Rodney... there were obvious reasons of course... petty, arrogant, bad with people. But, something about what Lorne had said 'you always said there was a side to him no one else saw', had her wondering.
    Rodney puts down his pen and pushes up his glasses. "Oh... I um... Ihadanaffair." He says quickly looking down.
    "You what?... Mckay!" She says, feeling outraged on her counterparts behalf. "Why would you... With who?" she demands standing up and stepping toward him. He holds his hands up defensively them freezes.
    "I... um... Sam... my Sam... never asked me who..." He says and sits back in his chair. "Huh..." he comments.
    "Well I'm a different Sam... Who did you sleep with?" She crosses her arms.
    "It's not important... I slept with someone else... I came home the next morning and told you, then we decided to get a divorce... you...I mean She told me that she thought something was going on anyway...then we parted as friends. End of story." He makes a 'finished' gesture with his hands.
    Sam leans back against the desk. "C'mon Mckay... you can tell me." She says with a little 'trust me' smile. "Who am I going to tell... with any luck I'll be gone soon."
    Rodney frowns and looks her up and down. "Why should I? You'll have to get back to work eventually... it's not like you can keep hounding me."
    "Please Rodney?" She asks in her sweetest voice, not afraid to use a little charm to satisfy her curiosity. As far as she knew she was Mckay's apparent ideal women... what could have drawn the man away...
    Rodney huffs and closes his eyes. "Oh... fine...I never could say no to that face." he says sounding entirely unhappy about it. "I...I slept with ... um..." Rodney blushes. looking down at his papers. he clears his throat and straightens up again. "John Sheppard... I slept with John Sheppard."
    Sam stares at him for a long while, unable to kick her brain back into gear. "You're gay?" is the first thing that come out but not the first thing she wanted to ask.
    "No don't be ridiculous... I'm bisexual..." he says, folding his hands in front of him. "I don't know about 'your' Rodney but I'm a man that likes to keep-"
    "Lt. Colonel John Sheppard?" She cuts him off.
    "What? No... Dr. John Sheppard, mathematician? Are you telling me John's military in your universe? You know him?"
    "He's... the military CO on the Atlantis expedition..." She says, feeling shell shocked.
    "oh..oh...my that's," Rodney blinks, "different... I... are we...'your' Rodney and him...are they friends?" He asks,licking his lips and trying not to sound like it's too important to him... even though it obviously is.
    The tone of his voice breaks Sam out of her surprise. "Yeah... you are.. from what I can tell anyway." She offers a little smile and goes back to the computer. She starts typing again and glances up at Rodney... who has on a small little smile that she'd never seen before. She shakes her head and tries to focus on the computer again. Mckay and Sheppard... who would have thought...She blinks... wait were they still? He thoughts are cut off as the man himself walks into the room. He doesn't seem to notice Sam's presence and leans in to kiss a bewildered looking Mckay. She can't help staring. Then, Sheppard finally looks over at her.
    His slow drawl cuts through the sudden silence.
    "Rodney... why's your ex-wife here?"

I don't think that anyone's actually reading this but I just feel like sharing.
If any of you have been to Vegas then you've probably seen the Excalibur. Some friends came down for a visit last week and pointed out something I'd never thought about before. King Arthur's castle on the Excalibur if built in a French arcitecheral style. The Greatest King of Britain lives in a French Castle?! How ridiculous is that. Therefore we got into this whole conversation, that Arthur thought it was cool... of maybe he let Lancelot design it... but eventually the people of Camelot got pissed off that their king thought he was too good for a British castle and they over threw him... there you go, mystery solved. Camelot was destroy and Arthur became myth because he built a freaking French Castle... thank you so much Las Vegas Blvd. for destroying the image of one of my favorite Historical characters. /hides face in shame/
